CEO and Owner of Legacy Behavioral Health of Louisiana

Brandy Klingman, LCSW-BACS, is a licensed and skilled psychotherapist and has served as an expert in the filed of mental health and substance abuse disorders for over 15 years. She is the owner and operator for multiple Mental Health Clinics and Addiction Treatment Centers. She has trained and certified in several clinical interventions and now serves as clinical supervisor and advisor to 5 different Universities and over 10 different Educational Departments including LSU, University of New Orleans, and Southeastern Louisiana University’s graduates and doctoral departments. She is proud to be an owner of Legacy Behavioral Health of Louisiana for over 8 years and serve as CEO and Owner to St. Christopher’s Addiction Wellness. She is proud to have started the first adolescent freestanding Mental Health and Substance Use Partial Hospitalization Program in Louisiana. Ms Klingman is a well known mental healthcare consultant nationally and most recently has begun international consulting work to improve behavioral healthcare around the world through collaborative educational outreach.

Charles Michael Higgins, MD
Medical Director

Charles Michael Higgins, MD is a board certified psychiatrist in Baton Rouge, Louisiana who grew up in New Orleans, LA. After attending Loyola University and receiving a Bachelor of Science, Michael received his Medical Degree and completed his residency in psychiatry at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Dr. Higgins was formerly the Director of Psychiatric Services at Orleans Parish and St. Tammany Parish Criminal Sheriff’s Office.
